I'm studying accounting and economics. I've been at ECC for a little over two years now, with this being my last semester here. I decided to join The Observer because I've always been interested in the writing that journalists do. This interest furthered greatened during the 2016 presidential election because I was able to see the power and influence that news outlets and their reporters had in terms of translating the candidates' message through the use of social media and their online platforms. I also see writing for The Observer as a great opportunity to improve my writing overall.
