Joining the Observer staff

The Observer is the student-run news outlet. Students learn to gather news, write and edit stories, take photos, make videos, and produce an email newsletter. More importantly, they get hands-on experience and and produce something that is their own.

To join the Observer staff in Fall 2023, please register under JRN 134-100. This a free, one credit hour course. You do not have to pay any tuition to join! We will be meeting in person on Monday and Wednesday from 11:00-12:15pm. If you having any difficulties registering or have questions, please email [email protected].

In the meantime, check out 20 photos that will make you want to join us!
