SWANS hosts Drag Race To Promote Upcoming Drag Show
Balls were thrown in the Jobe Lounge, students were running around in the shape of a figure 8, and there were many signs around the lounge promoting the upcoming Drag Show which will be hosted by SWANS.
“Our Drag Race was a simple but exciting game that we used to advertise next month’s Drag Show,” said SWANS Event Coordinator Jay Cortez.
Students participated in a footrace along a mini race track in the Jobe Lounge. Bystanders would throw balls at the racers to interfere with their running.
“Even though this was our first Drag Race, we had a lot of participation from the students,” said Cortez.
The drag show will take place on April 20 from 7-10 p.m. in the Spartan Auditorum and tickets will be sold for 5 dollars.
Your contribution will allow us to send students to the National College Media Conference in San Francisco in March 2026. This will grant them an opportunity to learn about about journalism and receive recognition for their work.
