The Spartans losing streak continues to 3 games as they lose to Rock Valley College 55-74 on Tuesday at the Spartans Events Center.
Forward Derek Clark scored the team’s first points of the game. Once that moment happens, fans are screaming, cheering and clapping their hands.
The Spartans Events Center was filled with the smell of an old school gym but also hearing the roars and chants from both fans and the players.
As Rock Valley got the possession, the Spartans would chant in order to put pressure on them.
Forward Derek Clark leads the team by scoring 6 points in the first half.

The team is trying their best to play well in the first half. Unfortunately, they ended the first half with a score of 24-44.
During halftime, first year student Colin Tamillo gave his thoughts on the game so far.
“It’s going pretty good. I like it.”
Tamillo stated that the team is losing in the first half and they need to play better for the second half.
He predicted that the team will win the game tonight.
The second half starts and the team is trying to get together to play better but there are times where they would struggle. During the second half, they tried to be more physical when playing defense but they would let the opponents score to avoid fouling.
As the players were trying to rebound, they tried to use two hands to grab the ball but the ball would land in the opponents hands.

In the second half, time went on and the players were doing their best to catch up with their opponents but they had a hard time getting points on the score sheet.
Fans started to feel concerned on how the team will manage to win this game. There are a few minutes left in the game as the players are figuring out how to beat Rock Valley College.
Fans are worried as time goes on near the end of the 4th quarter. The team has confidence to put up more points and take the lead.

Unfortunately, the team couldn’t reach their goal as they would move on to lose at the end of the game. The building got silent once the game was over but some fans managed to stay after the game to talk to their players.
Forward Jaylen Wells gave his thoughts on his performance for this game.
“No, I could have done more to help win, but we beat ourselves today, so we can bring it back.”
He addressed the team’s issues with guarding opponents.
“It’s just like our rotation so we get beat by one guy, and we don’t move around to find the open man. As simple as that, we have trouble finding the open guys.” Wells said.
According to Wells, he commented on his takeaways on this game.
