David Meraz, staff writer and photographer
Meraz is an employee/student at Elgin Community College, studying psychology. This is his first year on the Observer. He joined to share authentic stories and provide accurate, engaging coverage of campus life through both writing and photography. Meraz is particularly interested in understanding how the journalistic process works and capturing relevant events occurring throughout Elgin. He hopes to connect the ECC community and strengthen storytelling on campus. His personal motto is, “Veritas mundum revelat.” (The truth reveals the world).
