Hi everyone! My name is Hannah and I’m the Managing Editor of The Observer. I love writing, I’ve been interested in journalism for a few years, and I enjoy all things outdoors! I love hiking, biking, boating, etc. but my favorite hobby is rock collecting and jewelry making. I recently published a book, and I hope to publish more, but most importantly, I hope to improve my writing through The Observer!

Hannah Soukup, an Observer editor from 2022-2023, is a finalist for the Associated Collegiate Press's Pacemaker Award for Reporter of the Year in the two year school category. Soukup and current Observer editor Indie Wilson are finalists for the College Media Association's Pinnacle Award for Column writing in the two year school category. Winners will be announced in late October.

In fall 2022, ECC students earned at least a C about 85% of the time. For the most enrolled courses, those numbers varied.

Located in Building J of ECC, the fitness center has everything from weights, running equipment, and more for free use.

Within ECC's fitness center, there are several posters and guides to show students and staff proper work-out techniques and what healthy vital-levels are.

On Oct. 15, 2022, Haunt 31 officially opened for 'Scare Night,' which was accompanied with actors dressed up for the occasion.

Haunt 31's pathway into a prop Egyptian Tomb rumored to contain real people for an added 'spook.'

Kimberly Grannermann owner of Enlightened Balance provides a tour of her metaphysical store. As of Oct. 8, the store is decorated and stocked for Halloween.

As of early-October, Enlightened Balance is stocking new, handmade jewelry in support of Native cultures.

Enlighten Balance's recent restock of Sept. 30 brought in new crystals and spiritual pieces, such as this large piece of Amethyst.

Since Sept. 30, new candles and Chakra products are available at Enlightened Balance.

The Sept 30 restock introduced several new crystals to the hundreds of crystals Enlightened Balance showcases.

As of Oct. 8, Enlightened Balance's Witch's Apothecary is redecorated with a Halloween theme.
