Hi everyone! My name is Hannah and I’m the Managing Editor of The Observer. I love writing, I've been interested in journalism for a few years, and I enjoy all things outdoors! I love hiking, biking, boating, etc. but my favorite hobby is rock collecting and jewelry making. I recently published a book, and I hope to publish more, but most importantly, I hope to improve my writing through The Observer!

Hannah Soukup, an Observer editor from 2022-2023, is a finalist for the Associated Collegiate Presss Pacemaker Award for Reporter of the Year in the two year school category. Soukup and current Observer editor Indie Wilson are finalists for the College Media Associations Pinnacle Award for Column writing in the two year school category. Winners will be announced in late October.

In fall 2022, ECC students earned at least a C about 85% of the time. For the most enrolled courses, those numbers varied.

On Oct. 15, 2022, Haunt 31 officially opened for Scare Night, which was accompanied with actors dressed up for the occasion.
